He Will Be Loved (Frerard)
'Frankie, u ok?'
'U seemed a lil' down today.'
'I'm fine, G.'
Lies. Frank wasn't fine. Not at all. But he couldn't tell his best friend. He couldn't tell Gerard that he cried himself to sleep every night. He couldn't tell Gerard he hated every day he had to go to school. And most importantly, he couldn't tell Gerard that he was in love with him. He couldn't because Gerard had a girlfriend.
They had been best friends for years now. They told each other everything. If Gerard had had a fight with his family, he'd come to Frank. If Frank had trouble on school, he'd tell Gerard. They told each other everything. Until now.
Don't understand it wrong Frank was glad he was Gerard's best friend, but he wanted to be more than that. He wanted Gerard to call him because he wanted to hear Frank's voice. Not only when he's sad. But Gerard is with Lindsey and he's happy. That's all Frank wants. Well, the being happy part.
"Hi, Gee. You seem ha
mechanici want to kiss every aching wound you have,
bandage your heart every time it bleeds,
and patch up your mind over and over
because not a single tear deserves to fall
from your brandy-drenched eyes
but this dripping heart of mine can only feel
and the healing honey words it flames get caught
in the back of my throat and on the roof of my mouth
so i only have these passionate guttural cries
to tell you that i care all too much
and in order to fix you up again,
i would need to tear myself to tatters
and trade all of my working parts
for your leftover, fading pieces
but i just haven’t figured out how.
